Our Mission

We provide organizational leadership and stewardship of campus resources that support a healthy and safe environment for learning, research, teaching, and community engagement.

What We Do:

We empower a community of excellence by providing services and support that help students, faculty and staff achieve their academic, research and professional goals. Our diverse areas of responsibility include:

  • Employee recruitment and retention, benefits and compensation management, professional development
  • Building and landscape maintenance and beautification
  • Campus parking, including permitting and enforcement, and construction and maintenance of parking lots and facilities
  • Management of bus system in partnership with the City of Lawrence
  • SafeRide, car sharing and bike sharing programs
  • Investigation and resolution of harassment and discrimination reports
  • Clean campus buildings to ensure healthy and safe environments
  • Campus energy management and education, recycling and other social responsibility programs
  • Planning and management of buildings and workspaces
  • Facilities planning, design and construction
  • Human health and safety
